Gaff helmet

From Australia, offworld66 send me a real nice work about Gaff helmet. A pair of WWII items, several custom made pieces, and a lot of patience and good job results in a very realistic Gaff helmet, as you can see here. Thank you Tim! You’ve done a prop master job, sir!

Desde Australia, offworld66 me envía un excelente trabajo en forma de casco de Gaff. Un par de objetos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, algunas piezas hechas expresamente y un montón de paciencia y de buen hacer, dan como resultado un casco de Gaff muy realista, tal como puede verse aquí. ¡Gracias Tim! ¡Has hecho el trabajo de un maestro de los props amigo!

Michael Deeley book available at Amazon

At last, the “Blade Runners, Deer Hunters, and Blowing the Bloody Doors Off” Michael Deeley’s book is available at Amazon.com (other sites as well, of course). This hardcover edition show the relation between Deeley and cult film movies. A must for BR fans IMHO.

Abusing people

Some guys seem to think about people as dumb sheeps… Another ebay “offer” pop up and hurts me as fire!

I’m looking for all available information about Braun products, to include some data in the Props Book. Then, I find this interesting book about 50 years of Braun success. But, hey folks, ebay seems to be a multipy machine when prices are set!

Look the following snapshots. First one, ebay “offer”. Second one, brand new book selling at Amazon.de. “Do you know what a turtle is? Same thing…”

Algunos tipos parecen pensar que la gente somos como corderitos estúpidos… ¡Otra “oferta” en ebay me ha herido la vista como si de fuego se tratara!

Yo estoy buscando la máxima información posible sobre los productos Braun, para incluir algunos datos en el libro de los props. Así fué como encontré este interesante libro sobre la historia de los 50 años de Braun. Pero chico… ¡ebay parece ser un multiplicador de precios…!

Mira antentamente las siguientes capturas. La primera, la “oferta” en ebay. La segunda, el mismo libro, nuevo, a la venta en Amazon.de. “Sabe lo que es una tortuga? La misma cosa…”

Eagle Eye Co-Writers Working on Blade Runner 2

Seems like the madness is true. Read the complete story here, in the Slashfilm blog. Personally, I hope this project could be interesting, or a waste of time… Jeter books are, IMHO, a bad sequels (my respects to Mr. Jeter, but I don’t like their books). And now, which starting point will have a BR sequel? It’s a mistery… No studio involved yet, one scrip twriter down before project starts… Weird! Let’s time say the last word…

Parece que semejante locura es cierta. Puede leer la historia completa (en inglés) en el blog de Slashfilm. Personalmente creo que este proyecto puede ser interesante, o una completa pérdida de tiempo… Los libros de Jeter, en mi opinión, son malas segundas y siguientes partes (mis respetos al Sr. Jeter, pero sus libros no me gustan). Y ahora, ¿qué punto de partida tendrá esta secuela de BR? Misterio… Por ahora no hay ningún estudio involucrado, uno de los guionistas lo deja antes de empezar… ¡Vaya por Dios! Veamos qué nos depara el futuro…

More shot glasses

I have two shot glasses sets yet, but… orange rings are not so usual. Then, I bought these four glasses alone. One of these, the blue one, have some crack in the rings, but anyway, the orange one is perfect. And different from classic blue, green and red bomcination found in all the sets.

Ya tengo dos juegos de estos vasos de chupito, pero el de color naranja no es tan fácil de ver. Así que, compré estos cuatro vasitos solos. Uno de ellos, el azul, tiene una grieta en los anillos, pero de todos modos, el naranja está perfecto. Y diferente de los clásicos juegos en rojo, verde y azul.

JVC TM-22 monitor

If I’m not wrong, this is the same monitor that appears in the DNA row scene, forming part of the microscope. It’s a heavy one, but nice and neat too. I plan to use it to review the movie directly from one of my Laserdisc players!

Si no voy errado, es el mismo monitor que aparece en la escena de la calle del ADN, formando parte del microscopio. Es pesado, pero muy bien hecho. ¡Espero utilizarlo junto a uno de mis reproductores Laserdiscs para ir viendo la película de vez en cuando!

Dazor lamp

Very rusty and old, but the same model that appears in the movie. The very heavy Dazor saucer lamp has arrived from US. A big desktop lamp. It appears briefly in the Deckard’s piano. You must observe with attention to catch it.

Bastante oxidada y vieja, pero el mismo modelo que aparece en la película. La muy pesada lámpara “salsera” Dazor llega desde USA. Una lampara de sobremesa muy grande. Aparece brevemente en las escenas del piano de Deckard. Tienes que observar atentamente para poder verla.

Another ESPER part just arrived today. A Sunpak 522 flash unit, complete, with battery, charguer, arm, and so on. A very huge flash unit! It’s fun that Blade Runner prop team used it in the ESPER machine…
